YOU ARE NOT A VICTIM OF LIFE! You are not a spectator observing and interacting with a separate world that surrounds you, someone that is vulnerable to all the suffering while desperately searching for the fleeting joy that life presents. YOU are all of it... the world, the suffering and the joy!
To try and get some idea of this you need to separate yourself from ‘yourself’. When you look in the mirror, you know that the person you see there, changes as time goes by, but the awareness that is observing your reflection does not. It remains the same self awareness as when you were a child.
This observer that is looking at you in the mirror is the Experiencer. You are only the conduit, the physical persona through which this Experiencer, experiences life. The problem with understanding this is, your thinking is via the physical persona... the conduit itself.
The intellectual entity that is wrapped up in a physical body, with your name and an ongoing life story accumulated from the time you were born, is part and parcel of the life drama. You are the story itself, the animated actor that is making the experience possible.
You have no real control over the direction of your life, although you may think you do. Your life has a purpose, one that you cannot ever understand whilst ever your life drama is unfolding. Once you understand this, all your demands, your desires that your life be this way or that way cease.
You’ll learn to accept life unconditionally, exactly as it is, good or bad, happy or sad, loving or hateful. Whatever life presents, you have trust. You accept it as it is, whether it’s a positive or negative experience.
You! All wrapped up in your body and identifying with all of the drama that is going on around you and within you is the experience of just one single lifetime. The real You is safe, loved and eternal. So sit back, relax and enjoy the ride of your life...
