ALTHOUGH IT SEEMS INCREDIBLE TO BELIEVE, we have lived many previous lives that our everyday physical mind is completely unaware of. In our eternal existence as souls, we have inhabited many different bodies while knowing ourselves by many different names.
We have experienced a smorgasbord of what physical life has to offer as we strive to learn how to survive, grow and prosper in this foreign, often hostile world. Each one of our many previous lifetimes was a stepping stone on our journey to exactly where we are right now.
The purpose of our existence is to experience and learn what it’s like to be a physical human being. Over a period of lifetimes we continue to advance as we reach for higher levels of consciousness, compassion, love and understanding... or repeat life on the same level if we fail.
“In our many life experiences, we are at all times the total of
what we have ever been and done,
what we have fought for and defended, what we have loved and hated.”
what we have ever been and done,
what we have fought for and defended, what we have loved and hated.”
All of our lifetime experiences are remembered by our eternal self and is carried over to the following life, so our mental abilities, our aversions and preferences, our fears, our follies, our ambitions are the sum total of what we have learned from our many lives since the beginning.
We are different than others in our likes and dislikes, in our desires and dreams, in our joys and sorrows, our handicaps, our strengths, our weaknesses, our virtues and vices, our appreciation of beauty and also in our comprehension of the truth.
So what have you learned so far in this, your present lifetime? Do you feel confident that next lifetime you will be worthy of advancing onward to a higher level, or do you have an uneasy feeling that you may very well have to repeat life at your present level the next time around?..
Dan’s Quote: “You are learning to appreciate who you truly are...
______________By experiencing who you truly are not.”
______________By experiencing who you truly are not.”
