A Life Sentence

sunshine-coast
THERE IS NO PRISON QUITE LIKE THE HUMAN BODY. It wraps around us like a straight jacket, smothering us in its overwhelmingly convincing physicality. We’re cocooned within its cloying dankness every moment of our life... and each and every one of us is locked up for life in this same physical prison.
The human body comes in many different forms, shapes, and sizes, which makes us unique from one another and yet, deep down within those flesh and bone prison walls we are all the same.
Whether we realise it or not, we are a human animal, or that is our disguise while we are living this lifetime, but that is not who we truly are, it’s just a cocoon that’s wrapped around our soul which enables us to experience life here on Earth... for without the human body that would not be possible.
“You are on an amazing lifetime voyage through a universe of time and space...
while locked within the confines of a very limiting physical body.”
Although we are not our body, or the name our parents gave it, our body is a necessity if we want to experience a physical lifetime. Our body is important to us for it is the medium that gives us mobility and with its five senses and its many emotions, it enables us to feel and interact with the physical world.
Just because we are not our body doesn’t mean we should neglect it. If we want it to survive we need to look after it, to nourish it, to treat it with tender loving care otherwise it will not last for the duration of our lifetime here.
Our parents took care of such things when our body was new but as it ages, the responsibility for its ongoing health, safety and well being rests on our shoulders. If we don’t look after it, it will not last the time needed for us to experience the wonders of life and complete the tasks our soul set out for us this time around...
Dan’s Quote: You are a Soul temporarily cloaked in a human body...
_____________a form you identify with as being who you are.”
