EVEN THOUGH IN ESSENCE YOU ARE FOREVER, while you are here identifying with the human body you are temporarily inhabiting and the life you are presently living, one of the most humbling realizations is that impermanence is an unchanging truth. You will never get to experience this moment ever again.
Everything around you will pass with time. The only things that will remain are memories. Life as a human being is temporary. Whether you believe you have a soul or not, here is a truth that will literally change the way you see life.
There will come a time where you will be old and close to death. You will be reflecting on your past experiences, on how you spent your time, on all of the great times you had, and maybe even on how often you took life for granted.
You will then give anything to be in this position right now. Alive, youthful, healthy. You would give your right arm if you could re-experience just a little bit of your life when you were younger.
Imagine yourself being on your deathbed and wishing you could go back for just 30 seconds to extract more experience from life and to fully appreciate how amazing it is.
Consider ‘This Moment Right Now’ being your wish granted. What are you going to do with this moment?
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by
the things you didn’t do than by the things you did do.
It helps to live with the realization that physical life is a fleeting experience. It helps to cultivate grace, lightness, and love. The key lies with the way you choose to interact with this present moment.
You can choose to take control of your life, to laugh and realize that life is an absolutely precious gift - or you can choose instead to allow your life to be determined by the world around you.
The power is in your hands! It always has been, and it always will be. The more you can own up to your power, the more peace you will have...
...And the most amazing thing is, the more peace you have within yourself, the more peace we have collectively. World peace literally starts with you. What are you doing about it?..
